Main Library 2-Year-Old Lap Sit Storytime

Main library lap sit storytime is for 2 year olds with a caregiver. Lap sit
storytime will be on Wednesdays at 10:30am, January 31 - March.
Sessions last about 20 minutes with shorter stories interspersed with
songs, rhymes, and puppets.
No registration is required.

2-Year Olds

A beginning experience of listening
to stories, learning simple finger
rhymes and enjoying puppet play
in a group setting, all from the
security of a parent’s or
caregiver’s lap!
Each session lasts approximately
20 minutes with an opportunity to
select books and play afterwards.

3-6 Year Olds
By sharing the fun and excitement
of a good story, the children are
exposed to a variety of library
books and materials. In
addition to reading picture
books, storytime also
features flannel board
stories, cut and tell
stories, finger rhymes,
and puppets.
Coupled with reading at
home, storytime gives children
a sound foundation in learning
how rewarding books and the
library can be!
