Mondays with "Communication Junction" (for children ages 1-5)
Monday, September 29, 9:15-9:45am
Children ages 1-5 are invited to the Main Library to learn to sign with ever-popular Abbey Cook
from "Communication Junction" as she combines music and stories with American Sign Language!
No registration required.

October 2014

Brown-Bag-It Lunchtime Fun!
Wednesday, October 8, 11:30am
Bring your kids and lunches to the Main Library to learn about fire safety from real firefighters!
Drinks will be provided.

Spooooky Stories with Kay Price (for ages 7 to adult)
Thursday, October 23, 6:30pm
"Spooktacular" storyteller Kay Price will share spine-tingling stories for ages 7 to adult
on the Main Library back patio. (In case of rain, stories will be shared in the Main Library
Meeting Room.) Bring lawns chairs if outdoors. This event is sponsored by the Friends
of Washington Library.

November 2014

LEGO Building Event (for ages 8-12)
Saturday, November 1, 2:00pm
Sign-up to participate in one of our most popular events at the Main Library! Use library-
supplied Legos and have your creation displayed in the library's display case. Event
is for children ages 8-12. Pre-registration is required.

"The Nutcracker Story Time"
Saturday, November 8, 10:00am
Join us at the Main Library for some free family entertainment as the Peoria Ballet presents
"The Nutcracker Story Time", a condensed reading of The Nutcracker by one of the dancers
from Peoria Ballet in full costume. A short dance selection will be performed, along with the
opportunity to take photos with the costumed cast members!

Brown-Bag-It Lunchtime Fun!
Wednesday, November 12, 11:30am
Bring your kids and lunches to the Main Library to enjoy storyteller Linda Lowery!
Drinks will be provided.

Cornerstone Ballet: From "The Nutcracker"
Thursday, November 13, 6:30pm
Youth dancers from the Cornerstone Academy of Performing Arts will be at the Main Library
to peform select scenes from the holiday classic The Nutcracker.

December 2014

Gingerbread House Decorating (for kids ages 4 & up)
Saturday, December 6, Pre-registration and $5.00 fee required
Join us at the Main or Branch Library for our popular gingerbread house decorating. Sign-up
in advance for either the Main Library from 1:00-2:00pm or 3:00-4:00pm, or the Branch
Library from 10:00-11:00am. This event is for kids ages 4 & up; children under 8 must be
accompanied by an adult.

Bring your kids and lunches to the Main Library for a Christmas storytime and craft!
Drinks will be provided.

Christmas at Creepy Castle
Thursday, December 11, 6:30pm
Come to the Main Library for our 25th annual Christmas puppet show for all ages!


Family Movie Nights:
First Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm - Main Library Meeting Room, snack provided!

Red Cross Babysitting Training

There are no classes scheduled at the library at this time.

Participants must register online. Pre-registration and Red Cross fee are required.
