Summer Reading Registration
Monday, May 16

The Main Library and Branch Library summer reading program "Read for the Win!" registration
begins on Monday, May 16! The summer reading program will begin on Monday, June 6.

Lego Club for ages 5 and up
Tuesday, May 31, 4:00pm

Come to the Main Library to build your own creations using library-supplied Legos! Finished
projects will be displayed for one month in the children's department display case.
Pre-registration is not required.

June 6 - July 14
Sign up your children for great summer reading events and prizes at the Main or Branch Library!

Brown-Bag-It Lunchtime Fun!
Wednesday, June 15, 11:30am
Bring your kids and lunches to the Main Library and watch a Washington Police K9 demonstration!
Drinks are provided.

Reader's Theater
Love acting? Good at Reading? 5th-8th graders pre-register by July 9 to be part of our 10th season
of Reader's Theater, the Main Library's free theater troupe! No memorizing lines; skits are read and
performed with minimal props, bringing literature to life. Learn public speaking & theater skills, make
friends, and have a great time! This summer's production will feature hilarious skits! The season
begins after summer reading ends and consists of:

Six Mandatory Rehearsals: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, July 19 thru August 3, from 10:00-11:15am

Evening Performance: Thursday, August 4, at 6:30pm (Food-filled, fantastic cast party following!)


Red Cross Babysitting Training

Please check the American Red Cross website for babysitting classes scheduled in the
area at www.redcross.org. There are no scheduled classes at the library at this time.
