Job Opening: Adult Services Manager
The Washington District Library is seeking
out a creative, energetic and motivated
individual to help develop and expand upon our
library’s services to adult patrons. The Adult
Services Manager will be responsible for
the organization and implementation of adult
services at the library. The manager will
oversee collection development, programming,
and the purchasing of electronic materials for
adult patrons. The Adult Services Manager will
work in collaboration with the Library Director
to help improve current operations and plan

announce that Washington District Library
is now offering to our patrons. is packed with great educational
material including high quality videos by
expert instructors. With your Washington
District Library card, you can access
instruction through the links on the library's

and increase your professional skills with
classes on Project Management. You can

Sign up for Minecraft for Teens
Sign up begins October 3 for this popular
event. Bring your own laptop to guarantee
your spot. Space is limited. Pre-registration
is required. Event will be on Thursday,
November 3, from 4:00-6:00pm.

Fall Book Sale
October 22 - October 26
The Friends of Washington Library Fall
Book Sale will be held at the Main Library
on Saturday, October 22, through noon on
Wednesday, October 26 during regular
library hours, with a F.o.W.L. member
preview on Friday, October 21, from
5:00pm-7:00pm. Not a member? You can
join F.o.W.L. or pay a $5.00 fee at the door
to preview.

Surviving the Depression Era
Thursday, October 27, 6:30pm
Local speaker Jim Daugherty will be at
the Main Library to describe how families
survived and persevered despite the
difficulties of America's Great Depression.

Halloween Scary Movie Night
Friday, October 28, 5:00pm
Halloween candy & snacks provided!
Costume optional. Teens, come to the
Main Library for some Halloween fun!
